ego - less...

Post for this week - I'm still feeling there's a problem with blogging - I think I'm uncomfortable with the ego-ness of it all? 

It's all about me... 

I know that adds up in terms of customer segmentation - the market experience - "it's all about personalisation" etc etc. 

Consumer choices - on demand services - Sky Plus - designer babies - you name it we can create a personal experience... 

It just doesn't feel right somehow. At a basic human level? 

Maybe you can just go to far towards a personal utopia and then it seems indulgent? 

I think I'm still searching for the right tone of voice some of the other voices that I've seen/heard are getting a bit monotonous.

Good post by Dave Wilson on our ilovepdg blog there's some mileage in this - so we're going to work up a client briefing document - if anyone has any ideas/ thoughts they would be appreciated.

Brain dump - Tom Peters - re-engineer your int. comms function / needs to be more about brand and marketing.
Keeping Talent / Knowledge Capital etc etc.
Occupational Psychology link - conversation @Deloitte yesterday (thanks Faouzi).
"Personnel Advertising" / personalisation - personal advertising etc etc.

It's cold in Bournemouth...

Have got new laptop - courtesy of wonderful boss - Dave Wilson at PDG.

Having day's holiday tomorrow - Valentine's day. (I love you Polly xxxxx)

Then working from hotel Tuesday - back to Nottingham for Wednesday.

Very Exciting Day...

PDG and my web terminology were mentioned on Seth's blog - so all's well in the world.

Bit of background is that I came up with the terminology over a year ago - analogy was with above / below the line marketing campaigns.
